36 Weeks

I am thirty six weeks today! Wow, what a long road this has been. I have been on bed rest now for almost 10 weeks and boy can I feel it. My little girl is still moving like crazy and has started this past week doing what I call a "thumper" thing. If you you remember the movie bambi and the little rabbit Thumper, that is what she is reminding me of this week. I will periodically get these movements that feel just like that little rabbits foot going to town. It is very funny. I have never experienced that before, but then again that has been par for the course for this pregnancy. I will see my dr next Thursday and see what is going on and where we stand. I hope to see him a little sooner but...

Christmas Eve is Here!

Well, we have made it to Christmas Eve! We are excited! We will be going to my parents house tonight. They live all of five minutes away. My whole side of the family(except my sister and her girls) will be there tonight. I can't wait to see all of the children playing together. This will be the first Christmas for Sara Grace and I can't wait to watch her in action. Samuel was not quite a year last Christmas so this year is going to be so fun for him! Kathryn is super excited! She has been ready for a while and can't wait to see everyone and of course open her presents. My sister and her girls will be heading down the day after Christmas. We are excited about that as well. I don't think my sister has ever seen me quite this pregnant before! She has not met Sara Grace and Samuel was only 6 months old the last time she saw him. So this Christmas is going to be a fun one. Can't wait!

Not much fun

The title sums up the past couple of days. Last night as I got up from the dinner table I discovered that I could not walk. I was in such excruciating pain that I could not move my legs without experiencing the worst pain I have ever felt. I sat down and a little later tried again. No better. Chris had to all but pick me up to get me to the couch. After lying down for about 30-40 minutes I tried to get up without success. Chris got me back to the bedroom and I got in the bed. After about an hour and some phone calls and a lot of water we decided to go to  labor and delivery triage where after a while I was sent home on percecet(sp?). It did not really do much for the pain. I came home and went to sleep and after a night of hurting got  up and went to my doctors appointment where I was told they were so sorry but there was nothing they could really do for me to make the pain go away except to have the baby and at 35 weeks the baby is just not yet ready for that. So, I am at home and still hurting and so looking forward to being able to have Chasity and putting all of this pain behind us! I am so exhausted but I know she is worth it!

Our first round of Christmas this Year

We had our first round of Christmas the other night. I was feeling good so we rode over to Chris's grandparents house and here are just a few pics from the night that Chris's sister was able to get.

Pregnancy update for week 34

Ok, so we went to the dr yesterday and all is well. Our little girl they thought was small is weighing in at over 5 pounds! So no worries there. My cervix is still at one centimeter and is now very soft. The only thing that is a little something to think about is the fact that she has decided to move out of the heads down position into the transverse position. That means she is head at one side butt at the other and feet playing trampoline with my cervix. So, now we are going to be watching to see what she does and continue to take it a week at a time. If I go into labor and she is still transverse then we will do a c-section and if I get to 37 weeks and she is still that way we will do a c-section. However, we are hopeful that she will turn back to heads down and we will be able to do this the good old fashioned way! If I am still pregnant at 37 weeks we should be planning an induction for that week so that I can go ahead and come off of bed rest. We are on 8 weeks completed on bed rest now and my body is tired of bed rest. But we are hanging in there and can't wait to meet out little Chasity!

Tomorrow is the day...

Tomorrow is the day of my 34 week doctors appointment that I have been waiting for. For so long it has felt like 34 weeks was so far away. Now it has arrived. I have to be at the dr at 7:45 in the morning for check in. They will be doing an all out sonogram, a bpp with labs, and of course the all important cervix must be checked. If baby girl is below the 17th percentile I know we will be having her this week. If my blood pressure continues to act goofy like it has today, we will probably have her this week. IF my cervix is changing still we may have her this week. It is a whole lot of maybes that will be answered tomorrow. I will post what I know when i know it!

Crazy day

Had a great day today. We were at home of course but it was a fairly calm day until Kathryn got home from school. I don't know what she brought home with her but all the kids seemed to go nuts for  little while. It was so funny when bed time came just how quiet it got. I hope tomorrow whatever it was stays on the bus!
