Well, as the title says this will simply be a collection of writings and pictures that represent our family and the daily silliness that occurs in it!

First month of homeschool
We just finished up our first month of homeschool! We started August first and had a great first month. I really could not have asked for it to have gone any better. Kathryn is really enjoying the curriculum and so am I. I really love the fact that every subject we do, God is at the very center. It is so refreshing to open up her text books and scripture be all throughout every subject. Kathryn. Is doing so well! Her grades have been excellent! She has yet to make below an A on anything and she is so proud of herself. As she should be! As our second month started yesterday, she is right on track and has moved into her second set of books, completing her first set with flying colors! I have so enjoyed watching her be excited about school and to be the one that gets to see that "light bulb" come on when she understands something new! I am so thankful and blessed for this opportunity to be the active teacher(for school) in my child's life! I know as parents we are teachers in all we say and do, and I love that! But this new role...I love!

Friendship
Well, tomorrow is a sad day for me. Our next door neighbors are moving to Texas. There goes mine and Kathryn's buddies! She is a single mom and has a daughter a year younger than Kathryn. She is in the Army and so she must go where they send her. She has been a much needed friend in my life and I am going to miss her soooooo much!

First Week...Fantastic
We completed our first week of homeschool this week!!! I have to say, other than one day in the week where "Not so nice" mama had to show up in class it went very well. Kathryn has done fantastic!! The curriculum we are using has several self test throughout so you can make sure what your child is understanding along the way. Kathryn has passed all of her self test so far with flying colors! I am so proud of her. She is adjusting so quickly to being taught at home. I am so thankful that we are a family that really likes to spend lots of time together! That makes this experience a lot easier. I will have pictures to post soon.

Homeschool countdown!
One week from today school starts for our family! We will begin homeschooling Kathryn as she begins her 2nd grade year! I love the fact that she is super excited. We were planning on starting the 15th of August but she said she wanted to get started as soon as she could! I love her enthusiasm. I think we have everything ready and I am so looking forward to this opportunity. It is always so neat when you see the light come on for your child as they learn something and really understand it. Now I will get to see that hopefully everyday as we start on our homeschooling journey. It is going to be so interesting to see how it goes with my three little one's. I pray that the Lord will give me all the direction and guidance that I need. I know He will. He is so very faithful!

Disconnected
I don't know I guess it's just me but I feel so disconnected. It seems like everyone else is just going right on past me and I am stuck in this box disconnected from everyone else. It is a strange feeling. It is a lonely feeling as well. But, I guess this too shall pass. Quickly I hope.

Ramblings
Well, It has been a little while since I posted anything. It has been a busy time around the house. Chris working as usual, us trying to finish our bathroom remodel, the children growing like crazy, and getting ready for homeschooling to begin. Everyday brings on another new milestone it seems. Kathryn is now seven, Samuel is two and a half, Sara grace is one and a half and Chasity is six months. Time is going by faster and faster. I love my babies! We hope to get a vacation in sometime in September or October. Chris is planning on going deep sea fishing next month. That should be fun! Our next door neighbor and Friend is in the Army and is moving next month. Not so happy about that! She is in the Army and well you gotta go when they tell you too! She has become a great friend and I will miss her so much. Kathryn will miss her daughter bunches too! But, that is life I guess. Well, that is it for right now.

School stuff
So, as I was changing a diaper the other day, the mail man showed up and delivered Kathryn's homeschool curriculum. I was not expecting it so soon. I had just ordered it Monday and it came early on Saturday. Anyway, I got it inside and opened it up then called Kathryn to come sit with me and look through it. The more we looked through it the more excited we became. Kathryn actually said she was ready to start!!! That made me feel so good. I told her we would start in July. I am going to Kentucky for my niece's graduation at the beginning of June or we might have started sooner. Anyway, we are excited to get this journey started!

Homeschool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, I just did it! I ordered Kathryn's homeschool curriculum! Our yard sale Saturday was a wonderful success! God showed Himself in great ways. He held off the rain, gave us beautiful sunshine and a great turn out! We made more than was needed for her curriculum! Isn't that just like God though? Abundance!!! God is so good! He deserves all the praise and Glory for the day!
