30!

On September 27th, Chris turned 30! We went to dinner with my family on Saturday. It was a surprise to him. He thought we were just getting together with my parents and grandparents for dinner. But when we got to the restaurant My whole family minus my sister and her kids were all there waiting to surprise him. We had a great time. I love my man and I am so very proud of him. He is the love of my life and I could not imagine going through life without him!

Updates

So it has been a little while since I have put anything on here. It has been really busy lately. I promise I do have new pics of all the kids to put on here. Maybe I can do that sometime today...we will see. However , I did want to put some updates on here. We will start with Kathryn. She will be going to the dr on Friday to have a sono done. We have been trying to figure out her unexplained weight gain over the past couple of years for a while now and we finally think we have an accurate direction to go in. We think that her body is showing all the signs and symptoms of being insulin resistant. However that is usually pretty rare in young children. But there has been some recent research that is showing in young girls her age(6) whose bodies are appearing to be insulin resistant, it is being caused by PCOS which is poly cystic ovarian syndrome. This is usually not detected at such an early age but with all the studies they are doing, they can actually do a sonogram and see the precursor signs of the PCOS on these young girls. So we are hopeful that we may have finally gotten some answers to this issue that has already caused so much heartache for Kathryn. So we are praying that once they do this test Friday, we will know what is going on and they can begin treatment. If they can start treatment now, her health outlook for the future is a very good one.
Now, onto Samuel. He is continuing to learn and grow so fast. he is still my little man. He will be 21 months on Tuesday of next week and he can still wear 12 month pants. He is so funny. He keeps us laughing. He is climbing on anything and everything. He loves to play with his sisters and is a great little and big brother.
Sara Grace will be 9 months on Thursday and boy oh boy. I can't wait for her appointment on Friday. She is only a couple of inches behind Samuel as far as height goes. I know she weighs more than he does. My arms can tell the difference! She can already wear 18 and 24 month clothes and the length works on her. She is crawling and has no problems with the textures of food anymore. She still has no teeth. It does not slow her down! She loves to play with her brother and sister. It is so sweet when all the kids are on the floor and playing laughing and having a great time. Kathryn can always make them laugh! It is the best when they are all laughing at once because that gets me and Chris laughing too. I am so thankful that we have a happy family.

Strep

So Kathryn told me this weekend a couple of times that her throat was sore.  I looked in it and did not really see anything going on. By Sunday night she started telling me it was sore a lot. When I looked I could tell that the back was swollen. That night she went to sleep and when I went to lay Sara Grace down, Kathryn was miserable. She was sleeping but I could see the pain on her face. I gave her a dose of medicine and decided to let her stay at home Monday. I called the doctor and they wanted to see her. Turns out she has strep! So Antibiotics were started and Tuesday morning she woke me up telling me her strep was all gone that her throat was all better! So funny. I am so thankful we went to the doctor when we did so that she did not have to go through all the other pains and symptoms that can go along with strep! So she got her a four day weekend and is back to the daily grind of first grade today!

So...

We still don't know the baby's gender! The baby just did not want to get where we could see. Oh well. We won't have another sonogram until 34 weeks unless they need to for some other reason. So that will be December. We did not find out what we were having with Sara Grace until a week before she was born. I guess we will just see how it goes. The best news though as always is that the baby is healthy and has a great heartbeat! It has all ten toes and all ten fingers. My sonographer was very funny and from the regular 2D sono said the baby had my eyes! Got to love when they have sense of humor. It always makes things more enjoyable!

Final swim of the Summer

Chris, Kathryn and Samuel don't mind the cold water so they went for their last swim for the summer in our pool the other day. It was way too cold for me and Sara Grace! But they enjoyed themselves. Enjoy the pics!
