36 Weeks

I am thirty six weeks today! Wow, what a long road this has been. I have been on bed rest now for almost 10 weeks and boy can I feel it. My little girl is still moving like crazy and has started this past week doing what I call a "thumper" thing. If you you remember the movie bambi and the little rabbit Thumper, that is what she is reminding me of this week. I will periodically get these movements that feel just like that little rabbits foot going to town. It is very funny. I have never experienced that before, but then again that has been par for the course for this pregnancy. I will see my dr next Thursday and see what is going on and where we stand. I hope to see him a little sooner but...

Christmas Eve is Here!

Well, we have made it to Christmas Eve! We are excited! We will be going to my parents house tonight. They live all of five minutes away. My whole side of the family(except my sister and her girls) will be there tonight. I can't wait to see all of the children playing together. This will be the first Christmas for Sara Grace and I can't wait to watch her in action. Samuel was not quite a year last Christmas so this year is going to be so fun for him! Kathryn is super excited! She has been ready for a while and can't wait to see everyone and of course open her presents. My sister and her girls will be heading down the day after Christmas. We are excited about that as well. I don't think my sister has ever seen me quite this pregnant before! She has not met Sara Grace and Samuel was only 6 months old the last time she saw him. So this Christmas is going to be a fun one. Can't wait!

Not much fun

The title sums up the past couple of days. Last night as I got up from the dinner table I discovered that I could not walk. I was in such excruciating pain that I could not move my legs without experiencing the worst pain I have ever felt. I sat down and a little later tried again. No better. Chris had to all but pick me up to get me to the couch. After lying down for about 30-40 minutes I tried to get up without success. Chris got me back to the bedroom and I got in the bed. After about an hour and some phone calls and a lot of water we decided to go to  labor and delivery triage where after a while I was sent home on percecet(sp?). It did not really do much for the pain. I came home and went to sleep and after a night of hurting got  up and went to my doctors appointment where I was told they were so sorry but there was nothing they could really do for me to make the pain go away except to have the baby and at 35 weeks the baby is just not yet ready for that. So, I am at home and still hurting and so looking forward to being able to have Chasity and putting all of this pain behind us! I am so exhausted but I know she is worth it!

Our first round of Christmas this Year

We had our first round of Christmas the other night. I was feeling good so we rode over to Chris's grandparents house and here are just a few pics from the night that Chris's sister was able to get.

Pregnancy update for week 34

Ok, so we went to the dr yesterday and all is well. Our little girl they thought was small is weighing in at over 5 pounds! So no worries there. My cervix is still at one centimeter and is now very soft. The only thing that is a little something to think about is the fact that she has decided to move out of the heads down position into the transverse position. That means she is head at one side butt at the other and feet playing trampoline with my cervix. So, now we are going to be watching to see what she does and continue to take it a week at a time. If I go into labor and she is still transverse then we will do a c-section and if I get to 37 weeks and she is still that way we will do a c-section. However, we are hopeful that she will turn back to heads down and we will be able to do this the good old fashioned way! If I am still pregnant at 37 weeks we should be planning an induction for that week so that I can go ahead and come off of bed rest. We are on 8 weeks completed on bed rest now and my body is tired of bed rest. But we are hanging in there and can't wait to meet out little Chasity!

Tomorrow is the day...

Tomorrow is the day of my 34 week doctors appointment that I have been waiting for. For so long it has felt like 34 weeks was so far away. Now it has arrived. I have to be at the dr at 7:45 in the morning for check in. They will be doing an all out sonogram, a bpp with labs, and of course the all important cervix must be checked. If baby girl is below the 17th percentile I know we will be having her this week. If my blood pressure continues to act goofy like it has today, we will probably have her this week. IF my cervix is changing still we may have her this week. It is a whole lot of maybes that will be answered tomorrow. I will post what I know when i know it!

Crazy day

Had a great day today. We were at home of course but it was a fairly calm day until Kathryn got home from school. I don't know what she brought home with her but all the kids seemed to go nuts for  little while. It was so funny when bed time came just how quiet it got. I hope tomorrow whatever it was stays on the bus!

Birthday!

Tomorrow, is my 28th birthday. Chris has to work and I am still on bed rest so we celebrated at home today. It was so sweet. Chris and Samuel went out to pick up my cake and presents and the girls stayed home with me. As soon as they go home Samuel was letting me know he had cake for me. Kathryn and Samuel came into the living room with my presents and Chris brought in the cake. I had requested a certain chocolate cake and he got the right one! It was so delicious!!! He bought me a warm and fuzzy blanket and bag set. Which was perfect for me because I am one of those people who can never have enough blankets to snuggle with and what girl can't use a new bag? He also got me a beautiful necklace! Can't go wrong giving your wife a key to your heart necklace in white gold and diamonds! At least for me it was perfect! My hubby made it such a wonderful day and my kids made it oh so sweet! Their faces covered in chocolate from the cake was priceless!. Then, my parents came over and brought me a beautiful card and another necklace. This time it was a heart with all my babies birthstones hanging from it! They even bought two for our little Chasity since we don't know if she will be making her grand entrance this month or next.(My guess is this month)But I love it! IT really has been such a sweet and wonderful way to celebrate my birthday!

Belly Cast Project

Ok. So here it is. Let me a throw a disclaimer out there first. There are pictures in this post of the belly cast we made. Now it is of my chest and belly. Please keep that in mind before scrolling down and looking at the pics!

The first two pics were taken after the cast came off of me.

The next picture is after adding in smoothing coat of plaster but before it is sanded
The next picture is after it has been sanded and had the cream color added to it
The next is of the first shade of green

The next pictures are of the final product minus a clear coat that i will put on at a later time. I will also add ribbon and hang it up then as well. Once those things are done I will take more pictures and put them on here.

And yes, our newest little additions name is going to be Chasity Hope.

Thanks for dinner Abbie

Last night we had dinner brought to us care of Abbie and it was so yummy. Thank you so much for your kindness. It was nice not to have to figure out dinner and i know Chris loved being able to walk in and not have to cook after being at work all day!

Perspective

I think it is going to be a long week and a half until my next sonogram. There has been a lot of movement from my little girl and there have been a lot of contractions as well. Nothing really happening from them though. At least not that I can tell.  I have my next appointment Wednesday and they will do another biophysical profile so I am sure they will look at my cervix too. My dad is sick and is having to stay in the bed until he is better and Chris is on his long stretch of working so it has been a few long days around here. Fortunately Chris is off for the remainder of the month starting on the 16th. And as it stands right now there is the possibility I could be in the hospital then. So much running through my mind right now!

Belly Cast

We just tackled doing a belly cast of my pregnant belly! It was a fun process. No pics of the process of course but I will get pics of the start to finish from raw cast to painted piece of art just as soon as I am done! It will be so fun to see it go from start to finish. I have always wanted to have a belly cast but it has never been accomplished before. Now my belly is on the kitchen table drying!!! LOL!

New baby News!

Went to the dr today and this is what we now are dealing with. Found out today that the doctor is a little concerned about her size. I had a sono last week and she was measuring smaller than was expected. So he is running weekly test to monitor her status and her body functions are great and on track. However, she was only in the 17th percentile for her size and once they are in the 10th there is a problem. So since she is so close they are watching everything very carefully. I will go back next week and do the same test that I had done today. Then the next week when I am 34 weeks I will have another complete sonogram and they will do all of her weights and measurements then. My doctor said at that point if she is maintaining at the 17th percentile or is above the 17th then we will keep on doing what we are doing. However, if she has dipped below the 17th percentile then we will probably have to do a round of steroids and go ahead and deliver her. She is also breech so if we do deliver there is a possibility of c-section if she does not change position. So, right now I am just trying to process everything. I know everything is going ot be okay and our little munchkin will arrive right on time. God is faithful and I trust HIM!

Thanksgiving 2010

Well, Thanksgiving for us was a little off this year. Chris had to work and me and the kids went with my parents to my Aunts house. I am still on bed rest so I could not get out and play with the kids like I would have loved to do. However, we had a great visit and and my cousin was able to get some really great shots of Kathryn and Samuel. Sara Grace spent most of the day sleeping in PopPop's lap! Enjoy the pics!
