So it has been a little while since I have put anything on here. It has been really busy lately. I promise I do have new pics of all the kids to put on here. Maybe I can do that sometime today...we will see. However , I did want to put some updates on here. We will start with Kathryn. She will be going to the dr on Friday to have a sono done. We have been trying to figure out her unexplained weight gain over the past couple of years for a while now and we finally think we have an accurate direction to go in. We think that her body is showing all the signs and symptoms of being insulin resistant. However that is usually pretty rare in young children. But there has been some recent research that is showing in young girls her age(6) whose bodies are appearing to be insulin resistant, it is being caused by PCOS which is poly cystic ovarian syndrome. This is usually not detected at such an early age but with all the studies they are doing, they can actually do a sonogram and see the precursor signs of the PCOS on these young girls. So we are hopeful that we may have finally gotten some answers to this issue that has already caused so much heartache for Kathryn. So we are praying that once they do this test Friday, we will know what is going on and they can begin treatment. If they can start treatment now, her health outlook for the future is a very good one.
Now, onto Samuel. He is continuing to learn and grow so fast. he is still my little man. He will be 21 months on Tuesday of next week and he can still wear 12 month pants. He is so funny. He keeps us laughing. He is climbing on anything and everything. He loves to play with his sisters and is a great little and big brother.
Sara Grace will be 9 months on Thursday and boy oh boy. I can't wait for her appointment on Friday. She is only a couple of inches behind Samuel as far as height goes. I know she weighs more than he does. My arms can tell the difference! She can already wear 18 and 24 month clothes and the length works on her. She is crawling and has no problems with the textures of food anymore. She still has no teeth. It does not slow her down! She loves to play with her brother and sister. It is so sweet when all the kids are on the floor and playing laughing and having a great time. Kathryn can always make them laugh! It is the best when they are all laughing at once because that gets me and Chris laughing too. I am so thankful that we have a happy family.
