Medical Update
In my last entry I talked about being put on bed rest and on medicine to stop the crazy contractions I was having. Well I started the medicine yesterday and was having severe headaches with it. This morning when I took my first dose I had all sort of issues pop up. My blood pressure dropped, my pule started racing, and I got the worst headache. I called the hospital and they told me to come down and get monitored. I did and the dr was without a doubt the kind of doctor that makes you thankful for the dr you have. He would not listen to anything i was saying and when it was all said and done I was told to go home, don't take the medicine anymore and call my dr on Monday. I do believe that could have been decided over the phone verses making me sit in labor and delivery triage for four hours! Anywho, I am about to go to sleep tomorrow and hopefully the crazy contractions won't return! My dad has been so great with all of this. He was at the house all day today. Doing anything and everything that needed to be done. I am so blessed to have the wonderful parents I have!

BED REST!
Went to the doctor today and he said that I am not in labor but have an aggravated uterus. Which could cause me to go into labor at anytime. Thus, he put me on strict bed rest and medicine to hopefully get me through 8 more weeks of the pregnancy. I am 27 now. I never thought 34 weeks would be a goal for one of my pregnancies. Anyway, I am doing my best to deal with being told that I can't do anything for the next eight weeks. It is a lot harder than I thought. When you are the one who does everything for everyone in your family then are told you can do nothing...that is a hard pill to swallow. But, I know that God is in control and He will bring us though this! My parents have already been so great and have already said that they would be here for me as much as I needed them. it is crazy how one day can change so much!
Still in pain
Yesterday morning started out very promising. I got up and started getting Kathryn ready for school. She got on the bus and I came in and Samuel and Sara woke up. About an hour later the pain set in. My pelvic bones and muscles just were not happy. Contractions would come and go with having one and hour or hour and a half. Then once Kathryn came home we had an hour and a half before gymnastics. We get to gymnastics, I am sore but okay. We go to leave and I start having contractions. I have them every few minutes for about a half hour then they stop. I had two or three the rest of the night. However the pelvic pain was so bad it just hurt to try to move. I stayed on the couch until 11 then moved to the bed. I have been sore since I woke up this morning. No Contractions so far today. I am having some pain in my upper back, parallel to my chest. I go see my doctor today at two. I hope there are some answers from the test he did Tuesday. If not I guess it is just going to be a painful waiting game. I will write later when I know something more.

Please pray
So the weekend started out normal. Then late Saturday night my lower back started to hurt. Needless to say I have had several days of wondering what in the world is going on. Lower back pain, pelvic pain that has made walking difficult, some lower abdominal pain, then today could not use the restroom without contracting. Needless to say... I went to the dr and he checked me and my cervix is still closed. That is good but he is not sure what is going on. He thinks it might just be that my body is tired and is trying to tell me to rest. He has me on modified bed rest and he is running two tests, one to be sure that I am not in labor and another to double check and make sure that I don't have a urinary tract infection or a kidney infection. I will go back and see him Thursday and hopefully my body will have calmed down by then. I am 27 weeks this week so I still have a ways to go. 10 weeks for me. If the pain does not stop and keeps going we would possibly be looking at 34 weeks delivery. We don't want that! So please pray that all will calm down and that my body will behave and get us 10 more weeks!

A Few Little Updates
Well, this has been a very eventful week. Sara Grace has gone from crawling to standing in what seems like overnight. She is too funny. She gets mad when she is standing and she can't walk to where she is wanting to go. I really think it makes her mad that she has to sit down and then crawl to where she is wanting to go. I am thinking it is not going to take her too long to figure out the walking thing. I have hit 26 weeks in my pregnancy. Having a good many braxton kicks contractions. That is always such a funny feeling. I had a real contraction this morning. Nothing major. Nothing else happening or going on. Baby is moving just fine. I just think this momma needs more rest. Rest is such a funny thing. It always runs away just when you think you have caught it. Samuel has his first dentist appointment today. Kathryn has one with him so I am sure this will be interesting. he likes his teeth being messed with so hopefully it will all go smooth. Well, I guess that is about it for now.

They just grow so fast!
So I posted that a couple of weeks ago Sara Grace started crawling really well. Now this past week she has started pulling up and standing on anything she gets the chance too. They change and grow so fast. It won't be too long now that she will really be giving Samuel a "run" for his money!

Doing great
Kathryn is doing great on her medicine. She is not having the side effects with it that usually start in the beginning. We are praying that will continue and she will be able to continue along with no complications!

Kathryn's update
So, Kathryn has now been to the doctor and we have started her on Metformin. Her ultrasound did show cyst on her ovaries but they said they did not look poly cystic. However, something is causing her body to be insulin resistant. So we are hoping that this medicine will help her body return to working like it should. The hopes are that once her body begins to respond to the initial levels of insulin that her body produces that she will no longer over produce the insulin which is causing her weight gain. We pray that her body will get in line and get in order and that her body will begin to get rid of the excess weight that it has packed on in the past couple of years. She is almost double what her body weight should be. We can't wait for her to start feeling better and being able to play like all the other kids her age. So please pray with us that this medicine will work and she will begin to see results soon.

Winter blessings
I sure hope the stores are prepared for the winter rush that is going to be hitting. I think every parent of a child who rides the bus is going to be out shopping this weekend. 40's in the morning? Crazy! Poor Kathryn was so cold and I am planning on going to the store this morning but thankfully a neighbor had a pink hoodie, just what she wanted, that she was getting rid of since it did not fit right so Kathryn had it this morning. Isn't God so good how he provides!

Sara is 9 months old
Sara Grace is 9 months old now. Time sure does go by so fast. She had her check up the other day and everything is just great. She weighs 22lbs 1.5oz. She is 28 and 1/4 inches long. She started crawling a couple of weeks ago and is so happy to be mobile. She can't stand to be restrained now!
